It started with a hairbrush we couldn't ignore

After our first child was born in 2021, Faz’s hair began falling out. Not the normal postpartum shedding everyone warns you about. Handfuls. The kind you notice on the pillow, in the plughole, in the brush, and eventually in the mirror.

We did what everyone does. We bought things. Oils that turned out to be mostly fillers. Products with ingredient lists we couldn’t pronounce. Promises that four weeks later turned out to be just that.

So we stopped buying and started learning. Months of reading about scalp health, carrier oils and what Rosemary actually does, then testing blends until we had something we genuinely wanted to use. A simple 13-ingredient oil built around Rosemary and five organic carrier oils, with nothing in the bottle that didn’t earn its place.

It worked for Faz. Then for friends, and friends of friends, a few hairdressers among them buying it for their own chairs. Somewhere along the way it stopped being a kitchen project and became The Rosemary Company, with our first orders going out at the end of 2023.
